In Memory of Mr. Benny Chin (1944-2010)

Mr. Benny Chin, the former executive director of Ambassadors for Christ in Canada, has gone to be with the Lord in Hong Kong on Sunday, January 3, 2010.　 Brothers and sisters are encouraged to pay their final tribute to our beloved brother during the office hour.　

A special blog (http://wakeupwithdad.blogspot.com) has been set up by the Chin’s family since Benny was hospitalized in November, 2009.　 Words of condolences are mostly welcomed. Please see below for memorial details in HK and Canada.

Brother Benny was a product of student ministry in the 1960’s through Winnipeg CCF, and had served as the General Secretary of the Fellowship of Evangelical Students (FES) in Hong Kong.　 In 1989, Benny joined AFC and served as the Executive Director and later the Director of Ministry Development in Vancouver.　 Being an active advocate in bible studies, discipleship and holistic mission, Benny has been instrumental in the development of the evangelical student movement among the Chinese churches in Canada.　　　　

Memorial corners have been set up at AFC Student Centre in Toronto and Vancouver. Brothers and sisters are encouraged to pay their final tribute to our beloved brother during office hours. Details of the memorial services are as follows:

加拿大基督使者協會 前任總幹事錢北斗先生 主懷安息 (1944 - 2010)

加拿大基督使者協會前任總幹事錢北斗先生，09年十一月中在香港中風入院治療，並已於2010年1月3日(主日)凌晨被天父接返天家，享年65歲。錢弟兄家人在其入院期間，亦特別架設網誌http://wakeupwithdad.blogspot.com，分享錢弟兄病情；歡迎各界好友於網誌留言，向家人表達心意慰問。

早年活躍於Winnipeg CCF的錢北斗先生，曾任香港基督徒學生褔音團契總幹事，並於1989年加入加拿大基督使者協會，出任總幹事一職，及後移居溫哥華擔任加西事工拓展主任。錢弟兄一生致力推動華人學生褔音工作，尤其透過「小組研經」、「門徒訓練」及「整全使命」倡導學界褔音運動的發展。

使者協會除了於「使者學生中心」設立追思閣，在辦公時間內開放，供各界人士到訪緬懷之外，亦將於溫哥華及多倫多舉行「薪火相傳：錢北斗先生追思禮拜」，歡迎各界人士出席。
