What is CCF? [back to CCF menu]

CCF stands for Chinese Christian Fellowship. In Canada, you will find CCF exist in almost every university campus. So what exactly does CCF do? Of course, we can list all the varieties of programs in CCF: Singing, Bible Study, discussion, movie, music presentation, sermon, workshop, talent show, outdoor activities, indoor games, retreat, summer camp, cell group, testimony, sharing... it seems that there is nothing under the sun that we would not do. As for the objectives, however, we can clearly suggest two important ones:

  1. That it be a place where Christian students can come to fellowship, communicate, learn and grow together. CCF should be a Christian body which transcends denomination, culture, language, sex, age, academic discipline, or any other difference of background.

  2. That it be a place where non-Christian students come to appreciate what it mean to be a Christian. CCF should not be monopoly of the Christians, but rather is open to every student, so that together we may search for the Life, Love the Life, and that our lives touched by other lives.

University years are the most crucial years of every person's life. Many important decisions are made during this period, and it is during these few years most of our philosophies of life and value systems are formulated and established. In another word, whether you are a Christian or not, the coming few years are the most significant ones in your growing process. CCF has been the place where many students experience what life is all about. Would it also play so significant a part in your life that you could draw beautiful memory from it in the future?
