Pastor Alfred Lam is the senior pastor of East Toronto Chinese Baptist Church where he began ministering fresh out of seminary in 1990. With over ten years of experience in English ministry in Toronto, Rev. Lam has been well sought after not only locally but internationally to speak and teach. After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Waterloo, Alfred entered Tyndale Seminary (then known as Ontario Theological Seminary) to receive his Master of Divinity and later completed his Doctor of Ministry from Gordon Conwell Seminary in 1999.

A gifted preacher and minister, Alfred also has gifts in encouragement, leadership and evangelism. Highly respected in both English and Chinese circles of the Chinese church, Rev. Lam has a strong passion to seek ways of ministering effectively in the multi-congregational local church. Recently, Alfred spent 6 months at the Singapore Bible College as a professor of preaching and is resuming that same role at Tyndale Seminary this fall.
